Event Description
We will cover:
*Lighting on a budget
*Best backgrounds and clothing to make you stand out.
*How to use your exhisting equipment/What to invest in if you have none.
*Getting great sound
*Capturing great video
*Editing software (many free or pre-installed) for both Windows and Mac, and how to use them
*Compressing video for EcoCast delivery
*Using file transfer services
*Travel set-ups in a carry-on
*Using your cell phone in a pinch and getting great video and sound
This workshop will cover the basics of everything you need to put yourself on tape and deliver the quality expected in the competitive market.
Instructor, Jim Dougherty has taught this workshop in multiple markets including for Chicago's SAG-AFTRA Conservatory, Atlanta, and Nashville. Jim is an editor with 4 IT Certifications as well as an actor, and has successfully booked multiple roles via self-tape including work on Chicago P.D., The Inspectors, House of Cards, Killing Reagan, and Carol.
*Workshop tuition is non-refundable. If a student's scheduling issue arises, credit will be held for a future workshop for a period of 90 days*
