Event Description

The IAA November workshop will focus on Improving Your Auditions.
We will cover:

*The Audition Process

*Live vs Taped Auditions

*the audition request and details

*breaking down sides

*finding strong choices based in the text

*digging for clues in the action description

*working with dialogue and non-verbal communication

This workshop will cover the fundamentals of a strong audition.

Auditioning is the actors job interview. Improving the skills for both taped and live auditions is essential for increasing the chances of booking. There are many reasons why an actor may not book. Don't let a poor audition be one of them. This workshop will give the actor insight to casting director's expectations as well as confidence to make strong educated choices by improving the skill of interpreting the audition sides. Jim's students have booked commercials, feature films, and network television shows.

*Workshop tuition is non-refundable. If a student's scheduling issue arises, credit will be held for a future workshop for a period of 90 days*
